The 1-1/2" vinyl safety caps are included with all non-covered vertical pipes that do not have a boathouse structure or a boat bumper encompassing the vertical pipes. The vertical boat bumpers use a 2” vinyl safety caps. Both caps have the same properties and features listed below. The two primary colors are, beige and white to complement the beige or white plastic bumpers, decks, and benches. Grey and black safety caps are other color options available. The safety caps are designed to fit rather snug. Therefore, when installing the cap for the first time, you will need to start by having as much of the cap bottom edge over the pipe end as possible, then work the remaining portion of the cap by twisting the vinyl safety cap while putting pressure downward. This in turn will cause the safety cap vinyl to stretch enough for it to work the remaining inside bottom-edge portion of the cap over the pipe. Continue twisting until the cap is completely installed all the way onto the pipe.
