Covered boat slips are available in lengths of 24’, 32’, 40’ and 48’. They are ideal for mooring the boat underneath cover, out of exposure from the sun and rain. Additional slip width and boathouse height are optional; these will depend on particular boat specifications. These work well for shorelines where boats lifts do not work because of inadequate water depth or soft ground, or in excessive water depth, where the lift will not get the boat far enough out of the water. You might want to check with your local governing agency or state DNR regarding any limitations to covered slips over the water. A covered slip set up is the most user-friendly way for boaters to enter or leave the mooring location. The four preset mooring lines for corner tie-up locations ensure that the boat will not contact the dock. The covered slips are available in various sizes to moor boats up to 43’ long. The modular, telescoping pipe framework allows for slip expansion if the boat size and or width is changed from one year to the next.
